Hi Ya'll,
I'm April. I am a 22 year old executive secretary living in the Southwest US. I'm new to the public naturist lifestyle, but I guess I have always been a Nudist at heart. I really do hate to wear clothes unless I really have too. (I don't think my boss would handle it very well if I showed up at work "au natural" :-) But as soon as I get home from work, off come the clothes. And I have always enjoyed sunbathing in my back yard nude.
My boyfriend is really who introduced me to public Naturism this past Spring when we went to Miami for a convention. The first day we were able to spend some time on the beach, at South Beach. I was amazed at all the topless women that were on this public crowded beach. No one seemed to care! While we were there we spoke to a couple that was on the next blanket over and they told us about Haulover Beach at North Miami. Well we had to try it.
It was amazing! We got there about 1pm on a Thursday afternoon right after a rain shower. We pulled into the parking lot across the highway from the hidden beach and it was almost full! We walked through the underpass for A1A and followed a path and foot bridge for about a hundred yards, and we were on the Beach. To our amazement there must have been several thousand people stretching from about a quarter of a mile to the left and a mile to the right. Virtually all were nude! What was so stunning to me is that there were so many on the beach during a normal week day.
Well we found a spot to put down our blanket and without thinking twice, my shorts and bathing suit came off and out came the sun block (I'm a natural redhead so the sun doesn't treat my skin to kindly). In fact being clothed, even for just the few minutes walking from the entrance to the spot we placed our blanket was almost unnerving, since everyone else was already nude. My boyfriend had been on nude beaches before so there was no hesitation on his part either. We stayed for about an hour and a half and then another rain shower came with some heavy clouds so we left. But with full intention of coming back on Saturday.
Saturday morning we were more organized (brought drinks, bigger blanket etc.) and left for Haulover. We got there about 10 am and you guess it, even more people already at the beach then on Thursday. We had to park in the grass at the far end of the parking lot! When we crossed the bridge and got to the actual beach, there was solid humanity from one end to the other. Just to the right a mixed couple volley ball game was going on.
We settled down and met an interesting older couple. After talking for a while, they told us they were in the process of designing a Naturist Internet Web Portal and suggested that we take advantage of one of the features on their portal and put up a free web site on the Portal. Well, they got the portal up and it is really awesome so while I haven't yet convinced my boyfriend to participate I couldn't wait so....Here I am!
Regrettably, we didn't get any pictures at Haulover. (Still felt funny breaking out the camera on the crowed beach), but my boyfriend broke out the camera after we got back and caught me sunbathing in the back yard. We put up ten pictures here for now.
We might be going to Vancouver BC in the fall. If so, We heard that the University of BC has its own Nude Beach, Wreck Beach. If we make the trip, you can be sure we will visit it and I will post our findings here.
Well, enough for now, Hope you like my pictures and be sure to visit my hosts site. (And if you don't have one already, e-mail them. They will give you the space for free if you just put up a link to their site)
